We are a community of 1,200. We are craftspeople, landscape experts, program specialists, recycling gurus, housekeepers, tradespeople, environmentalists, architects, engineers and accountants. We can design your website, balance your budget and remodel your kitchen. We speak English, Spanish, Swahili, Nepali, and Kinyarwanda; to name a few.

The Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion program at Facilities Management has been established to engage our employees in improving our culture at FM through the lenses of diversity, equity, and inclusion.
To do this we will:
Develop an internal Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion program that is led by the goals and desires of our employees.
Develop an Inclusive Excellence plan for FM in correlation with the Inclusive Excellence framework and timeline adopted by the University in January 2020.
We are committed to doing our part to achieve the goals of the UVA 2030 strategic plan through our actions and decisions.
Equity: Fair treatment, equal access, attending to socio-historical structures and lived context — particularly focused on justice for historically underserved or underrepresented groups in a specific context. (See the AAC&U Definition)
